Local Non-Alcoholic Beverage Options

A list of my ratings/evaluations of local pubs, bars, and restaurants with respect to their non-alcoholic beverage options. “Local” will mean New York’s Capital District, or anywhere in the surrounding region I happen to end up.

My focus will be on those establishments where most people will be consuming alcohol. If I happen to find one that has a similar atmosphere but doesn’t serve alcohol, I’ll happily include it here as well, but as of today, I’m not aware of any such establishment in the area. You won’t find fast food, fast casual, diners, drive-ins, or other similar establishments.

Rankings

I’ll put specifics in each separate review. For this page, I’ll list them as “Good,” “Okay,” or “Poor.” The sublists will be listed in the order in which they are added. “Good” will be those establishments where I would enjoy going, even by myself, on the strength of their NA offerings. “Okay” establishments are places where if I went with a group, I would still be happy, but their NA offerings aren’t interested enough by themselves. “Poor” establishments are places I will avoid in the future, all other things being equal. I may also designate a handful of “Great” and “Avoid” establishments, if special mention is needed in either direction.

Criteria

I will refine criteria more as I go. For now, I will mainly consider three things: the quality of the NA beverages, the variety of beverages, and how differently the NA beverages are treated compared with the alcoholic beverages.

Future Additions

Hopefully I can add a map of the “Good” options at some point in the future (I refuse to use GoogleMaps for that purpose).

I would also be interested in adding the opinions of others. I’m not sure how that would work, but I’m open to suggestions.
